Short answer
Photographic Styles 3 adds new looks such as soft skin, glow, film and grain. Unlike filters, styles are applied intelligently to skin tones and can be changed after you take the photo.
Styles are how iPhone photos get a consistent look without editing every shot.
How to use them
- Open Camera and tap the Styles control.
- Swipe between styles, then use the pad to adjust tone and colour.
- To change later, open the photo in Photos, tap Edit and choose a different style.
When to use each
| Style | Good for |
|---|---|
| Soft skin | Portraits and selfies |
| Glow | Golden hour and evening light |
| Film | A classic, slightly muted look |
| Grain | Street and black-and-white photography |
