Photographic Styles on iPhone 13 and newer: how they differ from filters, how to choose one and how to change it after.

Styles are applied intelligently, unlike filters.
Short answer

Open Camera, tap the Photographic Styles icon and choose a style such as Rich Contrast or Vibrant, then adjust tone and warmth. It applies to the photo processing, so skin tones stay natural.

Photographic Styles debuted with iPhone 13 as a way to customise the look of your camera.

Set a style

  1. Open Camera.
  2. Swipe up or tap the arrow and choose Photographic Styles.
  3. Pick a style and adjust tone and warmth.
  4. Shoot as usual.

Styles vs filters

Filters change the whole picture after the fact. Styles apply selectively during processing, so skin tones and the sky are treated differently.

Tips

  • Pick a default style once and forget it.
  • Use Standard if you plan to edit later.
  • Newer iPhones let you change the style after shooting.
