A used iPhone keeps any remaining Apple warranty, but most are past the first year. The protection that matters is the seller's own written warranty. Find Next Phone's certified used iPhones come with twelve months of cover.
Buying used is one of the smartest ways to get a Pro iPhone — as long as you know who stands behind it if something goes wrong.
Three kinds of cover
| Type | Who provides it | Typical length |
|---|---|---|
| Remaining Apple warranty | Apple | Whatever's left of the first year |
| Remaining AppleCare+ | Apple (transferred once) | Whatever's left of the plan |
| Seller warranty | The retailer | Varies — ask for it in writing |
Questions to ask the seller
- How long is the warranty, and is it on the invoice?
- What does it cover — battery, display, Face ID, charging?
- Is the repair done in-house, or will I need to visit Apple?
- Have any parts been replaced, and are they genuine?
- What's the battery health, and is there a minimum guaranteed?

Frequently asked questions
Does a refurbished iPhone have Apple warranty?
Apple Certified Refurbished iPhones do. Other refurbished phones only keep what's left of the original warranty, plus the seller's own cover.
Can I buy AppleCare+ for a used iPhone?
Generally, AppleCare+ must be bought within a set period after the original purchase, so most used phones aren't eligible.
