Certified Used standard
Certified Used means the phone's identity, locks, battery, display, cameras, audio, charging, connectivity, controls and condition have been checked before sale.
Identity and ownership
- Model, storage, colour, serial and IMEI are recorded.
- Activation Lock is removed and the phone can complete setup.
- Carrier-lock status is checked and disclosed.
- Regional model and SIM configuration are recorded.
Functional inspection
- Display image, brightness, colour, touch response and dead zones.
- Face ID or Touch ID, proximity and orientation sensors.
- Every camera, focus, flash, video and microphone.
- Earpiece, loudspeakers, vibration and physical controls.
- Wired and wireless charging where supported.
- Mobile service, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and hotspot.
Battery and parts
- Battery capacity is disclosed and certified devices are sold with at least 85% displayed maximum capacity unless a different written standard is shown.
- Charging, temperature behaviour and unexpected shutdown symptoms are checked.
- Parts and Service History is reviewed where supported, and an Unknown Part message must be disclosed.
- A displayed battery percentage is treated as one measure, not the whole certification.
Condition and protection
Cosmetic grade describes visible wear separately from functional status. The invoice identifies the device and condition supplied. Certified Used devices include the published inspection period and twelve-month seller warranty, subject to the warranty policy.
